Studying abroad is likely to be an exciting, enriching and fulfilling experience. But initially at least, it may also feel daunting and at times overwhelming. New international students have to adapt to a new place, new culture and perhaps a new language, all at the same time. We know how difficult it is to leave home and come to a foreign land- keeping this in mind we at CSMU provide special services to our international students in both our conveyance and accommodation departments. In order to attract talented students Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University offers generous scholarships to meritorious students.
Office of International Relations has dedicated staffs committed to the needs of international students. We provide guidance to international student’s right from their arrival in the institute in matters of their cultural, legal and academic needs and other issues of relevance. CSMU International office has dedicated officers to serve the needs of International student’s welfare. They serve as the first point of contact for all international students and all their queries are answered .They are always available for the students to facilitate their pick up from the airport to their stay, logistics, their mandatory registration, visa verification, police information, etc. The goal of International Relation office is to enhance internationalisation at CSMU. It is the central contact point for international students and researchers – before, during and after their study at CSMU. It also supports domestic students and researchers from CSMU with all questions concerning international mobility. It coordinates international partnerships and develops programs with partner universities.
Step 1 – Complete the Online Application
To complete the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University online application.
Step 2 – Pay your Application Fee
When you submit your online application, you will be assessed a $21(Rs.1100 for Nepal & Bhutan) non-refundable application processing fee through the payment gateway. Alternatively, you make a bank transfer
Step 3 – Submit Transcripts
Applicants must upload below listed official, sealed undergraduate and graduate transcripts with online application or email them to email@example.com
*Transcripts in languages other than English are not acceptable
Note: - Details of the Application fee deposited by the candidate must immediately be furnished to the Admission department through email at firstname.lastname@example.org giving candidate name , courses to which admitted and scanned copy of the Bank Receipt etc.
Step 4 - Pay your Registration Fee
Students meeting the eligibility criteria as prescribed in the Admission prospectus would be considered for admission. Registration fee of 350 USD will be charged for admission.
Note: - Details of the fees deposited by the candidate must immediately be furnished to the Admission department through email at email@example.com in giving candidate name, courses to which admitted and scanned copy of the Bank Receipt etc.
Step 5 - Offer of Admission
Provisional Admission Letter and Bonafide letter for visa purpose will be issued once the payment is received.
After obtaining the provisional admission letter you may apply for Visa.
You have to deposit the full fee to complete admission process
Step 6 - FRRO Registration
All Foreign / NRI students will be required to register themselves with the concerned District Foreigners Registration Officer / Foreigners Regional Registration Officers, within 14 days of your first arrival in India.
Admission Application Form of Foreign / NRI students must have an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
The students are advised to send the following documents to the Association of Indian Universities for obtaining Equivalence Certificate:
The SERVICE CHARGE for issue of Equivalence Certificate as applicable is payable through Demand Draft in favour of “Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi”.
The onus of Certification for Equivalence from AIU is on the candidate and application will be considered only after the Equivalence Certificate is submitted.
Checklist for Registration Formalities at FRRO
All foreigners visiting India, who have visas for a period exceeding 6 months duration, are required to get themselves registered within 14 days of their arrival, at the nearest office of the FRRO. Those who have PIO cards or OCI are exempt from the registration requirement.

The International students should abide by all the rules of CSMU and the code of conduct as applicable to Indian students enrolled in the same courses.
The procedure for examination, payment of examination fees, issue of mark list, issue of passing certificates and award of degrees will be same as for the Indian students doing the same courses.
